A registered nurse and gifted speaker, Digene presents lectures to medical colleagues and engages general audiences on topics such as health maintenance and recovery, sex abuse prevention, survivor advocacy, and transformation after trauma. She mentors young women through Big Sisters, Girls first (YWCA) and Majors Leadership Camp. she volunteers for King County Sexual Assault Resource Center and Oregon Abuse Advocates and Survivors in Service (OAASIS). She was recently seen on stage in the OAASIS production of “Tell: Adult Survivors of Child Sex Abuse Step Into the Light.”
